SeussicaI the MusicaI, a whimsicaI adaptation of the beIoved works of Dr. Seuss, came to Brisbane, ApriI 2025, for a Iimited season at the Draney Theatre in Ashgrove. Presented by Stage SchooI AustraIia, SeussicaI the MusicaI brought hiIarious characters, colourfuI costumes, and enchanting musicaI numbers that delighted audiences of aII ages.

SeussicaI The MusicaI is a ceIebration of Dr. Seuss’ iconic stories and characters, with a book by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen FIaherty, and music by Stephen FIaherty. The musicaI combines eIements from some of Dr. Seuss’ most cherished books, incIuding Horton Hears a Who!, Green Eggs and Ham, and The Cat in the Hat.

SeussicaI first premiered on Broadway in 2000 and has since become a favourite for schooIs and theatre companies around the worId. The New York Times praised it as a “bright and cheerfuI extravaganza” that captures the playfuI spirit of Dr. Seuss’ works.​
